Christina Linardaki was born in Athens in 1971. She is a graduate of the School of English Literature, University of Athens, and she has also studied translation and interpretation at the University of Manchester – Institute of Science and Technology. She has been working as a translator since 1993. Since 2013, she is the head of the Research and Publications Service of the Centre for Culture, Research and Documentation of the Bank of Greece. As of 2015, she is a postgraduate student at the “Communication and New Journalism” program of the Open University of Cyprus. She has published four books with short story and poetry translations and has contributed to three collective works: on Odysseas Elytis (Athens: Pineios Publications, 2011), Makis Apostolatos (Athens: Vakxikon Publications, 2016) and John Berger (London: ZED Publications, 2016). She continues to publish widely in local and Athenian newspapers, literary magazines and sites.
